All pre-algebra classes are using scale and proportion to design a dorm room. This project counts as a test. If done well, the Dorm Room Project can really help improve a student’s grade. I expect the final product to be neatly drawn with all calculations correct. Also, to receive the best score, students will use color to define the different elements. Depending on their class period and assembly schedules, students will have 1-2 days in class to work on the project.
